PFL Chicago organized a round table conference on Andhra Pradesh State Bifurcation Problems and Solutions

People for Lok Satta (PFL) organized a round table conference on Andhra Pradesh State Bifurcation with participants drawn from Telangana, Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. The meeting was held in
Schaumburg, Chicago at Spring Valley Nature Centre. Dr. Chowdary Jampala was the special guest and the event was moderated by Mr. Srinivas Gullapalli and Mr. Naga Mellempudi. The purpose of this round table conference is to express views on Hyderabad, Educational and government institutions, water sharing and the importance of being unity across three regions of Telugu people.
During the discussion, many participants expressed disappointment on the lack of leadership and politically motivated agendas of politicians that are provoking the people and adding to the chaos. Regarding Hyderabad concerns, while there were many opinions heard, the group rejected the idea of making Hyderabad as a Union Territory, and did not believe the common capital idea would benefit neither of the regions. There were many expressed the power and development must be decentralized in place of existing trend that is yielding to many issues politically and economic growth perspective. Many government and private companies should be welcomed to other cities like Warangal, Karimnagar, Vijayawada, Vijag, Tirupati, Khammam and Kurnool etc.
Water sharing and natural resources common projects must be discussed thoroughly and approved by both stakeholders before the implementation. Once the common agreement has been made both regions must follow the agreed upon ground rules and then it is the board to ensure it is executed per the approved plan to ensure no political chaos after that. The group also felt the unity and harmony among the people is very important for democratic system. And the group also felt that the group of ministers must consider visit and hear the stakeholders of both regions to honor the people voice as in democratic system rather than just adhering to only unconcluded opinions of political parties.
The group thanked to PFL Chicago team ( Naga Mellempudi garu, Sravanthi Yalamanchili garu, Sridhar Myana garu, Sreenu Bathina garu and Kaushik Illa garu) for taking initiation and conducting a roundtable conference to help contribute Telugu NRIs views on burning issue of state bifurcation. And also, thanks to TV5 (Sravanthi garu) and TV9 (Ramaraju garu) media who covered this event.
PFL had earlier organized similar conferences in Dallas and Bay Area.
